It's been a while since I last used my camera after being diagnosed with CTS. However, I decided to end 2012 doing what makes me happy and start the new year right. Despite minor hassles, I managed to take photos of the pretty members of our gaming department who won the Christmas party's talent competition. They were getting ready that afternoon, for a repeat performance at the New Year's eve party. I wasn't ready for this shoot but I just went with the flow. The kids randomly posed on their own, stood where they want regardless of the background, and I just let them. Some were not even in full costume but who cares, I thought. They were having fun already and I didn't want to spoil it by telling them to wear their socks and shoes. No drama, no frills, no pretentious poses, no pressure; just a pure delightful afternoon with these young, vibrant and undeniably lovely staff of Savan Vegas Hotel & Casino.
For the first time after several shots, they asked me how they'll pose in this group photo. I just said, "alai ka dai" or "whatever" in English, and clicked away. It's not perfect but I didn't take another one. This was the last shot I made and I knew I had captured the essence of their mood; spontaneous fun.
