This blog is long over due; caught up in a mesh of tangled projects. I uploaded a few photos first, to get me started. These were taken last year in February at the miraculous shrine of the Holy Virgin Mary in Sibonga, Cebu. I was inspired by this quote; “Don't think. Thinking is the enemy of creativity. It's self-conscious and anything self-conscious is lousy. You can't "try" to do things. You simply "must" do things.” ― Ray Bradbury.
My husband underwent a hip decompression and a lumbar spine surgery in November 2011. Barely two months in recuperation, he developed a severe back pain recurrence, and had a second lumbar surgery in January 2012. We went to this church in February. He was able to climb the steps without any help. Crutches and cane were no longer necessary right after the trip. He was back to work in March. He still experiences occasional back pain but not as debilitating as before he had the surgery. People say, that his speedy recovery is something short of a miracle. In my mind though, he is a walking miracle.
As Bradbury said, "You simply "must" do things." Since that miraculous experience, I kept on delaying this article, hoping to find a better way to share what happened. In the end, I realized, big words aren't necessary. I simply attest to the power of faith. It may sound cliché, but indeed there are miracles for those who believe. It's as plain as that.

“The Holy Spirit doesn't need to equip you for what you're not going to do, so if you're in rebellion against Jesus and refusing His right to be Lord, He doesn't need to send the Holy Spirit to equip you for service. And, tragically, you miss out on the joy that He brings. So let the Holy Spirit deal with anything that's keeping you from obeying Christ.” ― Henry T. Blackaby
