Protect your creative life. Practice your work every day. Then, let no thought, no man, no woman, no mate, no friend, no religion, no job, and no crabbed voice force you into famine. If necessary, show your incisors.
—Women Who Run With the Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estés
The last time I checked, I still have eight cavity free incisors. Still grinding, man...still grinding!
Street photography...not my genre but I consider it a joy and a challenge at the same time. It's a joy, because though graphic composition must be taken in consideration, it's less rigid and more spontaneous; a challenge because it's full of unpredictable moments. I even consider it one of the hardest genre of photography. Why? Because you can only do it once, and you have to do it right. It's about the "decisive moment." The hit and miss, trial and error sense do not help you hone your skills if you have no grip on the the creative process. There are no accidental artists in the first place. Each has a purpose for their chosen art. That's why it's kinda sweet when I shoot something once, and I know I got it right. ",) —@ Paete, Laguna.
“I wish I could make him understand that a loving good heart is riches enough, and that without it intellect is poverty.”
“The man with toothache thinks everyone happy whose teeth are sound.
“No matter how much I wanted all those things that I needed money to buy, there was some devilish current pushing me off in another direction -- toward anarchy and poverty and craziness. That maddening delusion that a man can lead a decent life without hiring himself out as a Judas Goat.”
I work hard every day of my life I work till I ache my bones
Love George Michael's rendition of this song. Just the kind of inspiration I need...pure energy!
